History of New Life Baptist Church

It was the year 2003. Pastor M.H. Mosley found himself wrestling with the directive to organize a church. He knew the added commitment and responsibility would be even greater than before. After much prayer and meditation, in May 2003, he said to the Lord, "Nevertheless, thy will be done". He obeyed, and with the Lord's permission, he began to share the news with his family.

Understanding the seriousness of this commitment, he awaited further instruction from God. Soon after, the Lord led him to the most unlikely place: Time Warner. The Lord's instructions were very clear as to 'who', 'when', and 'where'. Within two weeks, the Vice-President approved the use of the training room as soon as the church was ready.

The first organizational meeting was held June 27, 2003, at the Mosley home. The church was formed and given the name New Life Baptist Church. The new church had 12 charter members. With great anticipation and excitement, we held our first service on July 6, 2003.

God, in His infinite wisdom, blessed us spiritually and numerically. Eight more members joined by Christian experience and three candidates came for baptism. As time moved on, we experienced the different emotions that come with life. In 2004, we suffered pain and loss, but also experienced great joy. The Lord called Rev. M.H. Mosley, Sr., from labor to reward; Rev. J.R. Mosley moved to lead a different congregation; Bro. Lewis Mackey, Sr., became our first ordained deacon. We are proud and blessed that he is still a faithful member of New Life today.

In 2007, we moved from the Time Warner building to the Mosley home to continue services while God was transitioning us. He moved us to our second site, Sheahan Business Center (Austin). On April 8, 2007, Resurrection Sunday, we held our first service at that location. What a joyous time we had in the Lord on such an extra special day!

The Lord saw that New Life needed additional help, and after much prayer, on January 24, 2015, He saw fit to bless our church with the ordination of another deacon by the name of Bro. Ernest Alexander. We are grateful and blessed that he is still a member of New Life today.

Later, in the Fall of 2015, God led us to the Park Place location (Pflugerville) to continue our ministry, devotion, and worship to the Everlasting God! Obedience IS better than sacrifice. He will put you in places that would seem to be unaffordable.

We are excited to keep standing on the promises of God as He leads us. New Life strongly believes Proverbs 3:5-6 which says: Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

God is faithful to us: We must be faithful to Him!

Who wouldn't serve a God like this!!
